Position - Food Servers, Bussers & Banquet Servers

Job Summary - Provide food and beverage service to club members and guests.

Job Tasks - Sets up side station and performs assigned side (prep) work.
Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
Distributes food and wine menus; answers questions.
Takes members and guests orders and serves meals.
Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
Attends pre-meal meetings.
Performs other appropriate duties assigned by manager.

Reports to - Food and Beverage Director

Minimum two years experience required

Superintendent Internship Program

This program is designed to train qualified individuals in the basic skills needed to become an effective Assistant Superintendent and eventually a first-class head Superintendent.

Each intern, during the program, will be required to complete a variety of tasks from ten areas of instruction. The amount of time an intern spends in each area of instruction depends on previous experience and the needs of the Superintendent. It is expected that the intern will make a six month to as long as a two year commitment to working at North Ranch Country Club.

The ten areas of instruction are:

Course Introduction/Section Responsibilities
Equipment Operator
Turf Management
Irrigation Systems Management
Maintenance of Equipment
Managerial Skills
Course Projects
Environment Awareness Project
Daily Course Maintenance
Tournament Preparation

After each area of instruction is completed, an evaluation form must be filled out and submitted to the Superintendent and the Director of Agronomy. The intern will have three evaluations a year with the Superintendent and the Director of Agronomy.

The intern will have the opportunity to attend local Superintendent meetings along with the National GCSAA conference during their tenure. These professional meetings as well as other educational opportunities will be provided at no cost to the intern.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements
The Intern must have at least two years of college course work that includes courses in agronomy, horticulture or turf management. Or be enrolled in or working toward a degree in turf science or related fields of study.

Work Experience
Have one year of golf course experience or similar type of outside work history (i.e. landscaping, irrigation installation, etc).

Golf Awareness
Should be able to play and understand the game of golf.
